'Jerseylicious' Star Lorenzo Gangala Dies Months After Surviving Motorcycle Crash

Lorenzo Rocco Gangala, a Montclair resident who appeared on the former reality show "Jerseylicious" died on Thursday, Jan. 16 at Mountainside Medical Center surrounded by family, according to his obituary on the Par-Troy Funeral Home website. He was 38 years old.

In August 2024, Lorenzo survived a serious motorcycle accident in East Orange, an experience he called life-changing. "Some may say I was lucky, but the truth is I was saved by the mercy of God and God alone," he wrote on Instagram. Lorenzo shared how the event reignited his faith, a journey he hoped would inspire others to deepen their spirituality.

Lorenzo spent most of his life in Parsippany before moving to Montclair in 2023, his obituary says. A supervisor at Pasquale Gangala, LLC in Montclair, Lorenzo was also known for his larger-than-life personality and sense of humor, which earned him a spot on the hit Style Network reality show "Jerseylicious." Lorenzo appeared in seasons one through three of the series.

Lorenzo is survived by his parents, Pasquale and Sonja; his sister, Milena; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members, including his partner, Christina. 

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Par-Troy Funeral Home in Parsippany, with a funeral service the following day.

The cause of death has not been made public.
